A small congregation of Christians worshipping in a small church building which was founded in Saxon times(( over a thousand years ago) and much altered since.
A part of a group of churches served by a team of ministers based around St Margaret`s Stratton St Margaret- www.stmargaretschurch.co.uk - and includes South Marston and Coleveiw .
We are in the Swindon Deanery of the Bristol Diocese.
Over the last few years we have been delighted to welcome young ( and occassionally not so young) couples joining so as to marry here.
People are always welcome here. People of all faiths and none are welcome to join our worship.
We are happy to have you with us whether you are a committed Christian of any denomination, someone exploring faith, just looking or coming with someone else.
Our services involve singing songs (hymns) together, reading and speaking responses from a service sheet, listening to a talk and joining in or listening to prayers.
Services usually last about an hour--a bit longer if you allow time for fellowship and chat before and after the formal bit.
We support many good causes
Money we collect is shared with people in need, homeless, poor, disaster victims and lonely, through The Green Hut project; Emmaus ,Christian Aid and other charities.
We are privileged to enjoy a beautiful Norman church here in Stanton Fitzwarren, with some of its original features. |
